COMPOSITION: METRIDOX® Oral / Uterine Tablet is cream colored tablet with a notch line in the middle. Each tablet contains 200 mg of trimethoprim and 1000 mg of sulphadiazine.
INDICATIONS: It is used for the treatment of respiratory infections and other soft tissue infections caused by susceptible bacteria in cats, dogs, lambs, calves and yeanlings or for the treatment secondary bacterial infections associated with viral diseases. It is used in the treatment of infections of genital tract caused by susceptible bacteria in sheep and cattle by intrauterine route.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Unless recommended otherwise by the veterinarian, in cats, dogs, lambs, goats and calves, ¼ tablets per day are administered orally every 10 kg body weight. Treatment is continued for 3-5 days. In intrauterine administration, cows are administered 4 tablets per day and 2 tablets in sheep.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD (S): Calves, lambs and yeanlings in oral use, cattle and sheep in uterine use should not be slaughtered during treatment and for 14 days following the last treatment. Sheep and cow's milk should not be consumed during the treatment for uterine use and for 5 days (10 milking) after the last drug administration.
STORAGE INFORMATION AND SHELF-LIFE: Store at room temperature (15-25 ºC).
